“Pentecost” selected for London Festival of Contemporary Church Music (May ’24)

A short piece for choir and organ, Pentecost, has been selected for inclusion in this year’s London Festival of Contemporary Church Music. The 2024 festival takes place from May 10-24, spanning Ascension Day, Ascension Sunday and Pentecost, and so my piece Pentecost fits in well with the timing and theme of the festival.
我的一首為合唱團和管風琴而寫的短曲，《聖靈降臨節》，已被入選今年倫敦當代教堂音樂節。2024年的音樂節將於5月10日至24日期間舉行，橫跨升天節、升天主日和聖靈降臨節，因此我的作品《聖靈降臨節》在時機和節慶主題上都很適合。
I wrote Pentecost in 2012 for the choir of the University of Southampton choral scholars, Cantores Michaelis. They premiered the piece in a liturgical context at St Michael’s Church, Southampton, on 10th June 2012, rehearsed and conducted by me. I revised the piece in 2017, and tidied up the notation in 2024, and this new version will be heard for the first time in this year’s festival.
我於2012年為南安普敦大學唱詩班學者合唱團「聖邁克爾歌唱家」創作了《聖靈降臨節》。他們於2012年6月10日在南安普敦的聖邁克爾教堂以禮儀形式首演了這首曲子，由我親自排練和指揮。我在2017年修訂了這首曲子，並在2024年整理了樂譜，這個新版本將在今年的音樂節中首次亮相。
