2023 Third International Symposium of Contemporary Music Research “Contemporary Music, Present and Future”2023年第三屆國際當代音樂研討會與座談 「當代音樂的現況與未來的趨勢」(Apr.-June ’23)
Categories -From April to June 2023, I organised for the third year running an international academic symposium for the department of ethnomusicology of Nanhua University. This symposium took the status quo and future trends of contemporary art music in Taiwan and abroad as its research theme. The goal was to assemble contributions (papers and compositions) from scholars, composers and performers, to learn from each other, and promote artistic innovation and exchanges of ideas.
本人於2023年4月至6月舉辦了南華大學民族音樂學系國際學術研討會，本次研討會以台灣和國外現代音樂的現況和未來的趨向作為研究主題，期盼能夠募集對此研究感興趣的學者、作曲家和演奏家之論文和作品，藉此集結各位的研究成果和音樂創作，彼此相互學習、促進藝術創新與交流。
I invited an international academic committee based in Taiwan, France, the United Kingdom and the United States to review the submitted manuscripts and compositions. The papers selected this year include composers and musicologists based in Australia, China, Germany, Portugal, the UK and the US, and the composers of the selected works hailed from Hong Kong, Iran, Taiwan and the UK.
研討會主辦方組織了常駐台灣、巴黎、英國與美國的國際學術委員會來擔任審稿、曲的工作。審查員嚴謹地評分過程完畢後，主辦方將審查結果宣佈在研討會的官網上，同時單獨通知所有投稿、曲的學者們審查的結果。今年入選的論文發表者包含常駐澳大利亞、德國、葡萄牙、中國、英國和美國的作曲家和音樂學家，入選作品的創作者包含常駐美國、伊朗與英國的作曲家。
A total of 111 individuals signed-up to listen to the various events, which included keynote addresses in Mandarin and English, eight conference papers, and four composer presentations. We have also recorded two of the four selected compositions with members of the Strike a Chord Chamber Orchestra.
共有 111 人報名聆聽各種活動，其中包括漢語和英語的主題演講、八篇研討會論文和四位作曲家的演講。 我們還與共鳴室內樂團的成員一起錄製了四首入選作品其中的兩首。
