當代作曲家新創作交流會

我很高興能組織第二屆「當代作曲家新創作交流會」。第一屆已於 2021 年 7 月以線上的形式舉辦(請參閱本文底部關於去年活動的網站貼文之連結)。

今年的活動也將在線上進行,除了室內樂團 Dominant Five 在南華大學妙音樓的入選作品之現場表演外,該表演同時將進行網路直播。英國作曲家和創意總監 Peter Wiegold 將發表主題演講。關於彼得和他的音樂製作,請參閱 Peter Wiegold BioClub Inegales 的連結。

本次研討會的主題是「新文化與新科技典範對傳統和前衛的作曲實踐之影響」(需要注意的是,文化的因素與技術方面同等重要,甚至更重要)。歡迎研究人員、表演者和作曲家提交論文。歡迎作曲家提交論文和作品(請分別填寫兩份申請)。申請截止日期為4月15日。

I’m excited to be organising the second edition of the “Symposium of New Works and Research into Contemporary Composers”.  The first event happened online in July 2021 (please see the link to my website post on that event at the bottom of this post).

This year’s event will also be online, with the exception of a live performance of selected compositions by chamber music ensemble Dominant Five in the Miao Yin building at Nanhua University, with simultaneous webcast.  There will be a keynote lecture from English composer and creative director Peter Wiegold.  Read about Peter and his music-making here, Peter Wiegold Bio, and here, Club Inegales.

The theme of the symposium is “The Influence of New Cultural and Technological Paradigms on Traditional and Avant-Garde Musical Composition” (please note that the cultural element is just as important, or even more important than the technological aspect).  Researchers, performers and composers are welcome to submit papers.  Composers are welcome to submit both papers and compositions (please fill in two separate applications).  The application deadline is April 15th.
